Dear Sir, Thanks for writing. It is not the question of right and wrong. This is a question of actions of the LIST_ADMIN: 1. He has intervened very untimely and very inapproriaptely. 2. His intervention was, at the behest of a few, whose identity, he has not disclosed. (as per your mail below) 3. As part of writing, he did not keep himself in check, and went ahead to threat to delist anyone and everyone. Delisting someone (me, you or anyone) from such a community is a decision which one (or many) has to take into considerations only when things cross the limit. Now, once he sent the mail in his capacity as LIST_ADMIN: 1. Why did he choose to mail to me directly (I was already unsubscribed and continued the thread offlist) in the capacity of LIST_ADMIN and spewing vitriol ? 2. Why did he post the offlist flames (started by him) to the list saying "DRAMA" to continue on list ? 3. Then indicatively suggesting that these flames are spamming the list. Why did he spam his own list ? (that too in the capacity of LIST_ADMIN) 4. Further, suggesting that people like me who have unsubscribed are not standing by the side of the community in times of trouble. (defaming me as an individual, inspite of honoring his role of LIST_ADMIN and taking the thread off-list immediately). Who brought in the trouble ? Indra or LIST_ADMIN or me ? 5. Is such an act justified on his part (especially in his role of a LIST_ADMIN) ? One can ask me, if I honored the LIST_ADMIN and took the thread offlist, then why did I unsubscribe ? I unsubscribed, to part ways with a unruly list where LIST_ADMIN issues threats and bullies around. Persons like you have to quite often tried to improve the unruly situations. Have you not SIR ? Why was the LIST_ADMIN sleeping each time you carried out his job. Finally when he wakes up, all he can do is THREAT and post offlist flames on the list, that too as a LIST_ADMIN. Does he bully around ? Yes sir, he does. His mails to a thread which was already offlist (written in the capacity of LIST_ADMIN) clearly indicates, he likes to bully around and he does that with loads of insults at that. The offlist thread was to a select few, with a cc to list-admin, since he was refered to in the mail. Why did he have to start a flame offlist, that too in the capacity of LIST_ADMIN, where is role of LIST_ADMIN has no standing ? Like I have said in my first mail, ANSWER HE MUST. He can choose to, not to answer to my mail, not being a member anymore. Let him answer Jayabrata's mail. ANSWER HE MUST. Even by your mail as below (.. indra needs to be understood as being right .. and needs to be NOT misunderstood for wrongly using 'rights' .. so indra can inform ..). If I have misunderstood, let him correct my misunderstanding...... i.e. in case he wants to without insulting. (..and all will take that vital one step of co-operating and working together) I assure you sir, I will be the first person to walk even the extra steps if required. BUT HE (LIST_ADMIN or Indra) MUST ANSWER. I know, I will also stand to loose somewhere, if I cannot share my knowledge with others, and in return be benefitted by theirs. However, I cannot live in the Jungle where everyone runs at the growl of the lion, no knowledge exists among such beings. Pursuit and sharing of knwoledge can take place very effectively under a highly benevolent despot. Let him be a true one and not just claim to be one.
