Red Hat Culture ----------------

It's been said that Red Hat is the biggest small company in the world. With more than 700 Red Hatters across 26 offices worldwide, we rarely think of ourselves as a small company. Until you consider our competition. We stand among giants—competing and partnering with companies many times our size.

This is a challenge we've always welcomed.

Despite our relative size, our continued success is proof of the power of the open source model. We pride ourselves on collaboration, openness, and the exponential value that comes from joining people of different perspectives to find the best way.

Open source forms the foundation of our company's culture because open source is changing the world. In our industry, it returns the balance of power to the customer. In our society, it allows people to be exposed to technology who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

No matter how large we grow, we hold these ideals close. Red Hat may be small compared to the company we keep—but don't underestimate the power of more than 700 people who've found a cause worth being passionate about.
