Hi Group:

I am surprised that we are not participating at
Compass 2005. Nonparticipation in Compass is a loss
for the ilug-cal community! What's the cost of
participation by renting a stall (even the smallest
stall)? What is the price of non-participation?

Do participants like me even matter in this group? I
remember pledging my time to speak on Linux and
bio/medical informatics. PK suggested that I charge
for the talk and turn over the money to ilug-cal for
hosting a stall. I agreed. There were a few other
members as well who were supposed to talk on key
issues. What happened to that plan?

If needed, I am still ready to deliver my talk on
biomedical informatics and linux if that will help
ilug-cal to host its presence as an independent unit.

/Arin
