Hello Friends The problem is to use Linux on a laptop machine without a com-port and connecting dial-up.
The internal modems, provided with laptop machines, are they those winmodems? And if they are, then, as there is no COM-port, how to connect with an external modem and USB-port? One COM-to-USB port, i heard, costs around 600 Rs. Is this the only solution? The laptop machine is Acer Aspire 3002 with AMD Semprino 2800. It will be very nice to get any related information. dipankar das -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
