YES! *zoom* option now gives me the fullscreen, but don't know why as a penalty quality is not as good as I can get from windows. maybe it demands some more superior configuration in XFree86-4. I can find the *S3* driver when I run *dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86* , even I have selected 2048MB ram which is there in the VGA card. could you point any setting which can use the S3 card more properly means to use its H/W features up-to its maximum limit ? here I like to inform you that I have 1024X768 resolution. when I start *startx* I can't get the right resolution, but when I execute *xinit* it provides me the correct resolution.
