I installed FC3 on P4 with 845GALLY board, now root is unable to hear sound, but clients are able to hear sounds, what I have to do?

Dear Friends,
I installed FEDORA CORE 3, but my sound card was not automatically installed.
So the sound is not coming. The test sound was not playing.
I give mother board and sound card details in below:
Mother Board: INTEL D845GLVA Sound Card : INTEL 845GL chipset (AC 97) SIGMATEL AUDIO CODEC
