I haven't done this in quite a while. Here are the details as far as I remember:

1. Make sure your kernel has support for the nfs filesystem enabled (cat /proc/filesystems)

2. In the file /etc/exports, add the line:
       /dev/tapedevicename              (rw,all_squash)
   (man 5 exports        tells more)

3. Send `kill -1' signals to the processes corresponding to /usr/sbin/rpc.nfsd and /usr/sbin.rpc.mountd. These processes should already be running if nfs support is enabled.
