Hello all,

When I start up my machine, it seems like grub is looking at my
CD drive. The impression I get is that it looks for a bootable
CD and displays the usual splash screen only after it fails to
boot from CD.

Thus, if I have nothing in my CD drive, the splash screen comes
up quickly, but even if I have some random (non-bootable) CD in
the tray, it takes a while before showing the splash screen.

Is there any way to avoid this behaviour? I did not see any mention
of a CD-ROM in my grub.conf.

I'm running grub-0.94-5 on a FC2 machine.

Thanks,
Mandar.
