Folks,
I have to remotely advise a newbie, who is running RH 9.0 on a laptop (model/make unknown), about configuring a modem from within Gnome. I'd appreciate any feedback about how this is best done, preferably from some interactive configuration menu.
I myself did this sort of thing once upon a time, but then I put together the required scripts by hand, with help from the relevant howtos. That approach will not work here!
