Hi,

Red Hat has an opening for a Technical Translator for Tamil to be based
out of Pune.

The profile includes translation, development and editing of content for
software localisation, paper, multimedia or web-based publications.
Further on it also includes translation of message catalogs into the
native language for Red Hat and other selected Open Source software.
Participation in Quality Assurance activities focussed on i18n and l10n
are also an important job function. It also includes carrying forward
the existing corpus of work and adding to it through best practices and
community interaction.

Exposure to the local language, language standards, computing inputs and
prior experience of l10n would be an advantage.

A glimpse of the Red Hat culture is provided below.

Regards
Sankarshan

Red Hat Culture
- - ----------------

It's been said that Red Hat is the biggest small company in the world.
With more than 800 Red Hatters across 26 offices worldwide, we rarely
think of ourselves as a small company. Until you consider our
competition. We stand among giants -- competing and partnering with
companies many times our size.

This is a challenge we've always welcomed.

Despite our relative size, our continued success is proof of the power
of the open source model. We pride ourselves on collaboration, openness,
and the exponential value that comes from joining people of different
perspectives to find the best way.

Open source forms the foundation of our company's culture because open
source is changing the world. In our industry, it returns the balance of
power to the customer. In our society, it allows people to be exposed to
technology who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

No matter how large we grow, we hold these ideals close. Red Hat may be
small compared to the company we keep -- but don't underestimate the
power of more than 700 people who've found a cause worth being
passionate about.

Why work at Red Hat ?
