Here is my fivers, i) First there is a new group which is highly specific. ii) There is a intial user base. iii) It is focused on hardcore kernel tweaking, no generics. iv) Separation of desktop/multimedia oriented problems. v) Grouping of interested and passionate users, stay clear of trolls.

If he could do that, he should definitely feel proud.
