Hi Everyone,
a bit of news - further development of the immensely easy-to-do and popular Coyotelinux floppy firewall/router has been frozen by the original developers at www.coyotelinux.com . Claudio Roberto Cussol ( brazil ) has taken up the gauntlet of continuing the good work at www.brazilfw.com.br under a new name BrazilFW - minus the propreitory components . Check it out and REGISTER . I am using coyotelinux since the first version - on a pentium mmx 166 , 32Mb ram , floppy drive , 2 x lan cards , pcchips TXPro mainboard , AT cabinet and SMPS ---- and NOTHING else !!! not even a vga card . I distribute my 64kbps
ethernet-internet connection among 6 - 7 computers running linux , windows,
Mac OSX - Secure - fast - seamless - no virus - no spyware ( well almost ) - no intruders from the external LAN / WAN / Internet . You can create the floppy from
even a windows based "wizard" -- simple .
Is anyone on the list using a dedeicated firewall based on linux or BSD ?
kindly report your experience .
                                                - pinaki .
