Folks,
I have been trying to get this Aztech 206U ADSL USB modem to work with
Linux. Its working, but not quite reliably yet. The problem is that
hotplug, which manages the USB ports, sometimes fails to detect the
modem at boot time. What I'd like to know is whether a list of active
USB peripherals is maintained by the kernel somewhere (perhaps in
/proc). If such a list exists I can check that to see if the modem was
found by hotplug.
I am using MiniSlack, a stripped-down version of Slackware Linux running
kernel v2.6.11.10.
