That was a rather interesting mail w.r.t the GIS stuff, but I won't talk about that on this list :) > iii) IP issues - Indra has made it clear the domain name > ilug-cal.org is paid by Russell McOrmand. Please re-read my "nitpicking" points 2 & 3 followed by my answer point #1 in my earlier reply :) BTW, IP issues and taxation are two completely different issues. ;-) Let me propose an alternative model, lets suppose that this GIS idea takes off, people actually find it useful, a lot of people starts using it to the extent that it demands corporatization. Well, in that happy scenario, we can start a company to commercially selling/support/etc of the wiki-map software, which in turn can support the community development of wiki-map where people can come in, and go out (e.g. the Fedora Project and RHEL or Ubuntu Linux and Canonical, Debian and Progeny etc). See, the moment you go commercial, you start having liabilities even if you are dealing with Free Software. IMHO we are getting a little ahead of ourselves over here. Lets take one step at a time and get something on the ground. cheers, -indra. -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
