I liked the arrangement of the menus in Gnome, very thoughtfully done. But I am puzzled why there is no entry in the menus to allow connecting to the net. For eg. for setting up a broadband connection, I had to open a terminal and do a pppeoconf. This I could do because I knew how to do it. What about a newcomer ? How will a newcomer know there is something called wvdial which is installed, but does not show-up in any of the menus. IMO, things could have been made a little more freindly by including some of the popular methods of connecting to the internet in the Gnome menus.
