Hello all,

I'm trying out SuSE 10.0 after reading Prosun's recommendation. It's
been mostly a nice experience so far, but there are the usual minor
problems that come from moving to a new distro.

I couldn't find anything to turn services on/off for the chosen runlevel
(5). Googling produced a reference to "% yast2 runlevel", but when I try
that, I get "no such module".

Specifically, gpm does not seem to be started for runlevel 5, so I can't
use the mouse in the first 6 virtual terminals. I have to start gpm
manually. Can anyone suggest a fix (other than manually setting up links
from rc.5 to init.d/gpm)?

On a related note, there doesn't seem to be any equivalent of /etc/rc.local
on SuSE (only /etc/boot.local I think, but that runs before init, afair).

Thanks,
Mandar.
