The task of compiling KDE has even steeper system requirements. So it is that slower systems need better binaries. You did post before on KDE too. Do you have a well-documented report on compiling kde in different ways for your architechture ? Check up with the linux from scratch project in particular. Anyway there are many binary distros for lighter systems. Finally your feature request does not amount to a bug. XFCE is light, fast and it is not hard to make it look as effective as a cut-down kde.
