I don't think so. The cost of printing the book came from a personal loan. So, any kind of additional expense on ad was out of question. And so, bookshops must not have the info of the book at all. The only public announcement was here on this ilug-cal list by Tathagata Banerjee, and a mail to some lists by Sayamindu Dasgupta, and an entry in his own blog by Sankarshan Mukhopadhyay.
