Small nitpick - you would require to install gcc-g77 and Fortran2C on
'any' distribution (so the peculiarity is not limited to SuSE) if you do
a custom installation - since they normally do not get installed. For
further light on this matter you might like to look at comps.xml on a
Red Hat/RHAT based box
