Hi All: Recently, I tried to install PCQLinux2006 to my Compaq Presario 700 AP laptop. Could not do a graphic install because during the installation process, it returned "unknown monitor" (although it identified the graphics card). After text based installation, the problem persisted, and the screen was unusable.
I tried to modify the vertical and horizontal sync parameters in the xorg.conf file but nothing seems to work. What do I need to do to solve this problem?
