Hello everyone, The iLug-Cal Meeting of Saturday, May 13th was held at Webel Informatics Ltd. from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
If I missed any detail, than please post it as a followup to this email. Besides gossiping about several things, the ilug-cal constitution was the main topic which was discussed in the meeting. Soumyanath Chatterjee and Arijit Majumder will together collaborate and will give the final shape to the constitution of the society, by next meeting. As, they make progress and revise the constitution, they will try to send it to the mailing list. Also, Arijit Majumder though not present in the meeting, has collected the form for registering ilug-cal. The cost of registering will be Rs. 50. Besides there may be some other expenses involved in getting the constitution audited by some lawyer. The website was the other main issue which was discussed in the meeting. Anirban Biswas and Surendra Singhi reported that they removed all the spam from the ilug-cal database dump, and wrote a php module integrating mailing list and the website, and sent it to Sayamindu on around May 2nd. Now, they are waiting for him to install the latest Drupal version on the www.ilug-cal.org site, and then give them administrative access to Drupal. The members also felt that the iLug-cal society should have full control on the website and mailing list, so that such difficulties don't arise in the future. The presentations supposed to be made by A. Mani and Anirban Biswas were deferred to next meeting. Also, members should try to be present for the next month's meeting as they will be signing on the application form, which will formally recognize the society. The meeting was attended by 1.
