I guess everyone's getting bitten by pulse audio! After 3 releases of Fedora, pulse is still having issues.
See if there are any updates for pulseaudio or related packages.
If nothing works, try the dirty trick - locate and delete the applications configuration directory (in .gnome or .gnome2). :-)
