Yes it kind of is. The openchrome(via driver) supports only 2D on its on. 3D support is "attempted" by Mesa libraries, which are present in a default Ubuntu installation. I put it as "attempted" because even a simple OpenGL screensaver can lock up your system. Therefore as and until via releases specs for their chipsets we can go on quoting Martin Luther King ;)
