If you are experiencing the problem in Emacs, it is actually not a problem. Just continue typing ignoring the cursor change. The letters will be properly placed as it is supposed to be. Programmers are likely to experience this more.
If this is the problem, will explain actually what happens in the next post. Otherwise post back.
