Empathy is a bit shaky. I had it working, but not right now. It is undergoing lot of changes in its backends. I hope it will stabilize soon.

I installed empathy on my laptop which runs a mixture of Debian testing and unstable. But I was not able to call anyone, including a person who was running empathy on Ubuntu 8.10, though the text chat was working fine. Does anyone have any such experience? Best -- V.
