Hi, I recently installed an ubuntu distro..'ubuntu ultimate 2.1' in my pc...It worked fine till today..But today while I tried to shutdown...there was a power failure. When I try to reboot it loads up around 80% then shows a text screen..the start up gets stuck with the line:-
Common unix printing system : CUPSD I tried reading many forums for soution but they were not useful....This is what I did:- <alt+F4> and login as root.. 1.I moved the file CUPS from the etc/init.d directory..So that it will repair itself during startup....But it didn't heal.... 2.I tried getting in by running GDE from etc/init.d ...Showd up my login screen but my keyboard and mouse becomes stuck..... Please help me....Thanks in advance........ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
