I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 jaunty. I'm now connecting to internet via terminal by 'pon dsl-provider' command and I dont have any problem with that.
I actually asked this question for my friends who are new to linux. and they dont like to type in commands. I'm trying to attract more of my friends towards linux. They might turn their backs if they mess up with the commands in the begining itself. Also I would be grateful if you please tell me how to connect to net with other methods like 'dialup', 'always on broadband (Asianet) connection' like that. (maybe I should ask this in separate post) On Thu, May 21, 2009 at 8:11 PM, jinesh kj <[email protected]> wrote: > hi, > > I am using debian lenny(i think a testing back in dec) right now. > > My network manager it self is able to handle pppoe(i installed pppoe > related libraries). > > It is good enough i think. > > If you exactly tell us, what is the requirement for a gui, i think we will > be able to help better. > > regards > > Jinesh K J > > On Thu, May 21, 2009 at 8:09 PM, Aswin S <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Try Gnomeppp >> >> On Thu, May 21, 2009 at 7:03 AM, Adhin D <[email protected]>wrote: >> >>> Is there any graphical frontend for PPPOE dsl connection? >>> Please help..... >>> >>> >>> >> >> >> -- >> http://www.aswinatgec.wordpress.com/ >> i would love to change the world..... but they wont give me the source >> code... >> >> >> >> > > > -- > My Feelings,Expressions- > http://logbookofanobserver.blogspot.com > > My scribblings- > http://logbookofanobserver.wordpress.com > > SMC : My computer, My language http://smc.org.in > സ്വതന്ത്ര മലയാളം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടിങ്ങ്, എന്റെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിന് എന്റെ ഭാഷ > > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
