Dear member, I am facing problem to configure squid in my system (Fedora 11).
I did the following steps
after su
[r...@localhost anupam]# cd /etc/squid
[r...@localhost squid]# vi squid.conf
than i change the line [ in the Squid.conf file ]
#http_port 3128
http_port 8080
after that
i give the command
[r...@localhost squid]# squid -z
which shows the following error.
FATAL: Could not determine fully qualified hostname.  Please set
'visible_hostname'
Squid Cache (Version 3.0.STABLE15): Terminated abnormally.
CPU Usage: 0.020 seconds = 0.012 user + 0.008 sys
Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 0
So how to configure the squid.
Thanks
