I noticed that most of the mails in this mailing list is top posted. I agree that it is not a good idea to enforce this for new members. But for people who are members for a long time should start practicing it. Please note that other than the usual purpose of mailing lists, this is a place to practice effective communication and team participation. I request the members who frequently post to this mailing list to go through this presentation at least once. http://www.shakthimaan.com/downloads/glv/presentations/mailing-list-etiquette.pdf Be aware that topposting or bottom posting deserve a ban in some mailing lists. For student members, it would be worth to watch some FOSS project mailing lists in addition to this list.
Eventhough this presentation is repeatedly quoted, I see many members repeating the mistake. For sending one line of reply, some members are quoting the enitire mail thread. Please Keep the archive clean, keep your communication precise , respect the bandwidth of the other readers Thanks Santhosh --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
