try this........ I am not sure they started the Internet surfing in GSM
phones.....

*sudo wvdialconf


*if modem is detected edit the wvdial.conf  file

*sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf

*add the following things

*AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","rcomwap",<cr>*

*99# as the dial no:

use any username and password........
