That depends on what you usually do with Outlook. If you are looking for a good mail client, then Thunderbird is excellent. But it doesn't have the calender/organizer that you get in Outlook. Mozilla does have a calender application called Sunbird (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird/) and another one called Lightning (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/) which integrates sunbird with thunderbird. I don't think it's that popular though. Anyway, please try out Thunderbird. It's quite handy, but no where near Outlook in my opinion (same was as ooo writer is no where near MS Word).
