Hi, Reg. how the fund comes, most usually be displayed on the website itself. CDAC was first something like a company to do service, support and R&D help for numerous projects in the country where govt. had core interests. The people who sits on top actually are some heavy weights too. But, they have a pretty bad reputation on collaborative work(on whatever project work on).
The organizational structure of CDAC is very weird such that, there will be more than one team in a same CDAC center working on same topic and developing different products and competes with each other. In one project i work, one team in CDAC, Pune does the optimization work for the code and another team there is responsible for the external third party evaluation of the project(ashik can really explain the way they works :)). So, if we go for an RTI route, we should at least know where is this project(like under whom on which head, otherwise we might get detail for something else). This is just a warning, people who are around working in CDAC can help more in this i think.
