Yeah. I believe the modem will work well until a power failure or if
your switch it off and then turn it on, then again the settings are
set back to default, right? It should be a hardware problem, where the
settings that you change are not getting saved in it. Same was the
issue with my modem, which i took it to the exchange and got it
replaced.

Probably, you should also do the same... This would be a hardware problem.
