I've installed Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) today, and encountered following
problems. I googled a bit, but couldn't find satisfactory solutions (I think
because its new).
Certain features I liked in Jaunty is missing here. I'm listing it one by
one. Please help me find solutions.

1. Cannot edit grub menu.
when I tried to edit grub, it says "drive is read only" while saving.

2. Cannot install nvidia driver
gets stuck midway when downloading nvidia driver version 185

3. Missing "Remember Authorization" option while mounting NTFS drives.
I have to enter sudo password every time mounting the drive. I dont use
ntfs-config tool.

4. Cannot change GDM login screen.

5. Cannot use 'windows' (Super) key as keyboard short-cut. I usually use
'windows' key for launching terminal.
