Don't be too scared. The patent is not for sudo. But surely it is for a similar process, done using GUI. That is graphical sudo or sudo for dummies. :P This is a typical case that can be placed as a valid argument against sudo and so this patent serves our purpose.
And for sudo, there is prior art. So you don't be in doubt. If a problem arise, this will be contested. At the same time, don't be childish by proclaiming that we could have an audo. Patent is for idea and not for name. So any patent, however genuine it may appear, is the most -- "Freedom is the only law".
