Jeevz:
This is really a bad way to reply to issues reported in a mailing
list. Please don't reply if you don't have a solution for the specific
issue.

stranger:
I think the documentation is based on an older version of Ubuntu which
required the pango/icu patches. But since those patches are already in
upstream, you may not need to install the additional packages to
enable Malayalam. AFAIK, Malayalam works perfectly in ubuntu-9.10
except translations.
