The fun is, I can get the sound in headphones. Still no sound in the front > speakers of the laptop. > Does anyone here have any new ideas to tackle? >
Some cards have separate volume controls for headphone out and speaker out and some have a switch for enabling speaker out. You can either look for controls/switches in the volume control or alsamixer Kurian -- "Freedom is the only law".
