Hey, I dunno about kochi.. But I would always suggest BSNL. Good service, and good speed and reasonable price, across the country. But yes, there are places where people get bad service from BSNL. You may find details here - http://bsnl.co.in/service/dataone_tariff.htm Others also have good plans, but you need to enquire them.
