It might be due to the ascii font. You have to know which font is used
there and download that font, create a folder .fonts in your home
directory and copy the font to this folder. Now you can read it.

If you don't know which font is used in the document, try the fonts
with this link http://www.poombatta.com/fonts/malayalam.htm
