That is the right thing to do. We need to have IE 6 killed, it is a pain and
lot of useless effort for many web developers to have applications tweaked
to make it work across all browsers.

And very frankly security, incompatibility is enough reason to abandon it.
But the scores of users especially from the corporate sector kept on using
IE6 hence dragging it till so far. Now its time to totally remove it from
the face of earth as it takes up valuable development, which other wise
could be used for new and better service development.

In my opinion, apart from the locked up XP + IE 6 corporate sector. Every
one else using IE6 were due to ignorance and illiteracy alone rather than
the love for the application.
