u can use ur camera as a card reader.. it is not that it wil only show pics.. if it is a problem with only these files, probably they may be corrupt..
cameras have different modes to connect to comp.. check if u r using pictbridge.. it is used to connect cameras directly to a printer.. that mode may only show up the pictures.. u should connect to comp using data storage mode.. -- "Freedom is the only law".
