Which among the following are *crucial for normal running** of System??
*Normal running: WLAN, LAN, BROWSER, VIDEO, AUDIO, DISK BURNING, WORD/IMAGE
PROCESSORS etc, mainstream user activities.


What is not essential for *me*:
 power management(AV editing demands it),
 Computer LOG (as i myself had never made use of it),
Printer service(no such device connected! but does it prevent distilling out
PDFs?

I know of most unwanted processes in WIN platform, including those of common
virii and used tools like process lasso for system optimisation.but no idea
of GNU/Linux.Its UbuntuStudio GutsyGibbon Can somebody just add some remarks
in between:

Some of the description of following processes shows duplication: can it be
stoped safely?what about others?

My processor is not overclockable, can i stop 8)powernowd?

where are the other services?
