Mouse is already obsolete (in terms of technology) when Apple released Macbooks with a multitouch trackpad ;) Still waiting for multitouch support for Apple's trackpad to land to production Linux though. Currently, synaptics driver seems to support two and three finger clicks and two finger scrolls (only on vertical axis it seems), but the UI for mouse drag is really silly. As for keyboard ... i don't think its going anywhere soon. Even in sci-fi movies they still have keyboards and keypads ;) Keyboard is simply faster, private and more precise than other input mechanisms. My guess is, the next step for input might probably be one of those brainwave contraptions. Regards Rajeev J Sebastian -- "Freedom is the only law".
