FOSS is Nice but..... Govt. must take initiative for promote E-governance and ICT among govt employees. we have govt employees who had not even seen their dept. websites. But they are well at orkut and facebook. Govt must study the feasibility of imposing ICT for various depts. At Govt. the higher level employees (not all) not even seen a system in their life. but equiped with brand new m/c at their seat.... covered neatly.....with yellow cloth provided. Fortunately rats enjoy a happy life with 'Mouse'.
The Govt. employees must change their attitude for ICT.. they must know that the computers r not job eaters. And the really interesting thing is that ... they a very happy and interested in the services of ICT from Railway/IRCTC like firms. When comes to their dept.. a BIG NOOOO! Not bother about whether it is Windows/Linux remember the old slogan "COMPUTERS R JOBEATERS & JOB EATERS R MAN EATERS!" make ICT mandatory at GOVT. Offices. Make govt offices a ----NOT PAPERLESS but LESS PAPER at least. Then we play with FOSS it is nice......
