subin, even if grub is installed, u should be able to boot from a cd.. change ur boot device priority from the bios.. make boot from cd as ur 1st priority.. then boot from harddisk.. then if u have a cd in the drive when the comp is booting, bios will boot from the cd and not from the hard disk..
