Hi everyone, I am a student of Mary Matha college. Most of the students in the IT department are ignorant about Linux in general. Those who have heard about Linux have many misconceptions about it including the teaching staff. This is our golden opportunity to show the students what Linux is all about.
The plan is to convert all the computers in the college computer lab to Linux. That way all students can become familiar with it. That is the easy part. The trouble is that these labs are used in University exams and currently run on Windows and use the outdated Borland Turbo C++ IDE. We need to convince the staff about the need to migrate to newer software and that there are much better IDE's in Linux. Otherwise the effort would be a complete flop. We need users who have a lot of experience with Linux IDE's and share them with the staff in the college. Regards, Binny -- http://binny88.wordpress.com -- "Freedom is the only law".
