Hi, GIMP is bit tough to teach students of 5th standard. Well, just teach them about brushes, selection and cropping. The basic. Don't go in detail. The tool named pinta could be a replacement for MS Paint like tools. I really suggest to introduce GIMP as a digital canvas, than a photo editor to students.
Introducing Gcompris and Gbrainy to kids will also be useful. -- Hiran Venugopalan Usability / IxD Geek, Ubiqurio IRC : HFactor | Phone : 09496346709 | W : http://hiran.in -- "Freedom is the only law".
