in linux execute the following command in terminal to generate md5 hash for your file
md5sum <filename> replace the file name with your the name of your iso. this will generate a long string of alphanumeric characters. if these string matches with those given in the webpage the file you have downloaded is valid and can be used. also k3b will generate md5sum when your are about burn an iso image in windows you can use tools such as md5summer to verify the checksums On Aug 2, 5:50 am, "Robin S.
