Thanks guys...

My modem is not the one bsnl provided.. its a third party modem. in
linux, the lan connection between modem and router is okey. but
inorder to get internet access, i have to dial up with a username and
password. where is that part? i mean where is the place that i've to
give username and pasword?? when i open network manager, i can see a
tab named DSL. If i create a connexion and gv username and password,
will it work?? Bt i prefer command line way. Want to know what's my pc
is doin and thats why i switched to linux 2 years ago....
Thanks in advance
