Get it on the keyboard. For all the machines sold in India, replace the $
sign with the Ruppee. When you do that Shift+Num4 will get the Ruppee
symbol.

All these key combinations are not the proper solution, roundabout way of
implementing. Such solutions already exist.

Just noticed that the mail talks about placement of the ruppee symbol on the
keyboard, while the questionnaire is about combination keys - am I missing
something
